  3. Mortgages and finance – We offer mortgage and financing advice through a number of professional partners who specialise in this area of expertise. In no way do we intend to give investment or financial planning advice directly ourselves and our opinions are only presented as a guide where further professional advice is recommended.
  4. The Ombudsman Scheme– The Ombudsman for Estate Agents (OEA) Scheme provides an independent service for dealing with disputes between Member Agencies and customers who are buying and selling residential property in the UK. Owen Knox Estates is a member of the scheme.

    Why use an Estate Agent who belongs to the OEA Scheme?

    OEA Scheme Members agree to abide by the OEA Code of Practice. This sets out a framework within which Members must operate and sets the standards of service they should provide.
    The Code is mandatory and rigorously enforced. Compliance levels and consumer satisfaction are closely monitored.

    If things go wrong, and you have a dispute with a Member Agency, you can refer your complaint to the Ombudsman for resolution. The Ombudsman is completely independent of the Member Agencies, and will provide a free, fair and speedy review of complaints falling within his Terms of Reference.
    Member agencies agree to co-operate with the Ombudsman and to abide by any decisions that the Ombudsman comes to. Any financial award that the Ombudsman makes in your favour is binding on the agent.

We recommend you always employ the services of a legal professional and are able to recommend a number of firms and resources to help you in this part of the process.
  6. How we get paid for our service – We offer a comprehensive service to our clients and are paid by the vendor (home seller) unless other charges are agreed. For those looking to buy only, our service is free of charge of course and of the highest level.
  7. Member of Professional Bodies – Owen Knox is a member of the FIABCI, The International Real Estate Federation.
  8. Your access and use of the contents of www.owenknox.co.uk -You are able to access the website without registering your details but you can register especially if you specifically wish to contact us. (See our privacy policy below). You are permitted to print and download extracts from the Owen Knox Website for your private, non-commercial use. On the basis that no documents or graphics are modified in any way, that no graphics are used separately from accompanying text and our logo.
  9. The Property and transaction process – Whilst we work hard to ensure the experience of all clients and customers in the moving process is a smooth and enjoyable one, complications can arise. We aim to be in communication with all parties and conduct ourselves with honesty and integrity, in line with the Ombudsman scheme and Estate Agents Act.

Privacy Policy - When registering with Owen Knox for the purposes of an enquiry, we will collect details such as your name, e-mail address and other details of your personal interests and needs. Some of this information is essential for us to be able to accurately identify who is using the service so that we may be able to respond to your requests. Any personal information submitted to Owen Knox is held in the strictest confidence. This information is securely stored and access is restricted to us and passed on to appropriate partners in your country of interest. We will not make your personal details available to other unrelated companies or sell your data to third parties for advertising use. We want to keep you up to date with developments and products of Owen Knox Ltd and we may also use your details to send you information about the services we offer. You will be able to remove your information from our mailing list at any time and of course we are contactable verbally.
